Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Co-op Work
I worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute full-time as a remote graphic design co-op from January to July 2021. I worked on flyers, digital signage, original illustrations, animated videos and motion graphics, and social media graphics.
One of my challenges at Dana-Farber was finding ways to be creative and give various events, projects, and initiatives their own look and feel within well-established brand guidelines. I used different layouts, illustration styles, and visual elements to achieve this, even using only three main colors and one typeface. Another challenge I often faced was making large amounts of complicated information clear and legible. I became much more experienced and skilled at creating clear typographic hierarchy and using different techniques such as color and placement to emphasize important information.
